chandelier garden

she says "i can’t love you i’m just passing by"
like the lipstick stain on the edge of a persian.
i say nothing is built to last i know,
but i can’t help but hope these metal beams
never come crashing down.
(my insides are still annealing, you see.)
come and admire how i catch the light
as you walk past my blue-spotted heart,
and tell me that the canals of venice
have never seen a sight so beautiful.
you say you like the way ice sparkles; i say
i’ll shatter myself for you.
throw me into a fire, make me your next centerpiece,
and never stop loving me, loving me, loving me.
